Apply for the Arnold and Sheila Aronson Fellowship

The Tishman Center is excited to announce the Arnold and Sheila Aronson Fellowship. The fellowship is designed to support student learning and practice at the Tishman Center. The Aronson Fellowship seeks to provide financial support to students who are finding solutions to the most pressing sustainability challenges facing the world today through their studies, research, or practice. Fellows will advance the mission of the Tishman Center and delve deeply into design, policy and environmental justice approaches intended to address the climate and equity crises.

 
 

The Fellowship will support graduate students who wish to co-develop with the Tishman Center or implement a project, research or body of work related to environmental or climate justice, climate change, or sustainability. Please review The Tishman Center’s Areas of Focus and Projects and Publications for more information about the work we do. Students from all disciplines and colleges are encouraged to apply. This is a competitive Fellowship. One Fellow will be awarded $6,000 for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Tishman Center is looking for students who are excited about our mission and passionate about environmental and climate justice. Students who are interested in pursuing a career related to these issues in any way are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Aronson Fellowship is awarded once a year. The competition and administration of the fellowship is led by the Tishman Environment and Design Center in collaboration with the New School Office of Student Financial Services (SFS). Fellowship dollars are intended to provide financial support for students.

The deadline for submitting an application is August 20, 2020. The winner will be notified by September 17th, 2020 via email. This Fellowship award is $6,000. Please find the application as well as more information about eligibility here
