Michelle DePass Discusses Environmental Justice at Yale

Screen Shot 2016-04-27 at 10_FotorMichelle DePass, TEDC Director and Dean of Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy spoke at Yale University's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies' event: Post Flint Ensuring Environmental Justice for All on April 19.Her focus topics included: how to approach environmental justice in an academic context, educating students more broadly about environmental justice's political, social and economic intersections and preparing them to address environmental justice issues in their career experiences, the implications of Flint and the set of failures that led to the complete breakdown of environmental protection in the community.Albert Huang, the Director of Environmental Justice and Senior Attorney at the Natural Resources Defense Council joined her at this engagement. The panel discussion was moderated by Frances Beinecke, the former President of the Natural Resources Defense Council.
